Our Story

In 2015, ten newly landed immigrant professionals in Canada came together with a simple but powerful idea — to support each other. Armed with shared experiences and a vision for success, they created a WhatsApp group to exchange job leads, share resources, and navigate the complexities of the Canadian job market.


What started as a small peer-support circle soon grew into something greater: a movement rooted in community, collaboration, and career growth. The group evolved into the Supply Chain Industry Network (SCIN) — a national platform designed to empower immigrant and Black professionals and entrepreneurs in supply chain, operations, and project management.

The Supply Chain Industry Network (SCIN) is powered by a passionate team of immigrant professionals, industry practitioners, and community builders committed to helping others thrive in Canada’s supply chain and project management landscape.


Founded in 2015 by a group of 10 immigrant professionals, SCIN has grown into a dynamic platform driven by volunteers and professionals who bring diverse expertise in supply chain, logistics, operations, project management, business analysis, and entrepreneurship.
